Making the cut famous at its annual barbecue festival, has made everyone else aware of its potential for barbecuing.
The steak is simply cut pieces of the triangular tri-tip roast, which is why some people call it the triangle steak (or Santa Maria steak).
A typical way to prepare it is to rub it all down with salt, pepper, and garlic (or whatever seasoning you like) then barbecue it!
